Junior Instructional Program Ages 4-14
The aim of these programs is to provide a structured and fun learning framework that fosters a lasting enjoyment for the game of tennis and a willingness and desire to improve. The curriculum seeks to develop and improve technique, movement, court sense, knowledge of the rules, positioning and basic tactics.

New! The Quick Start format in all Junior Instructional Classes
Quick Start Tennis is a new format for beginner players. The Quick Start format shrinks the game to kid size. Smaller courts give kids the confidence and ability to cover the entire court. Smaller racquets and balls that bounce at a height equal to kids’ playing abilities allow for better and longer rallies. Quick Start stresses the importance of play and team competition so that your children will have fun playing with friends and developing skills that will become the foundation of their game.
Racquet Size Recommendations and Program Placement
Ages 4–8 should use racquets 19”, 21” or 23” in length
Ages 8–14 should use racquets 23”, 25”, 26” and full size (27”) in length
The age ranges listed within racquet size recommendations and within program descriptions are general guidelines, however there are always exceptions. If you are not sure, please do not hesitate to ask any of our Tennis Professionals to assist you in determining the appropriate racquet size or program placement for your child.
Junior Development Program
Junior Development is designed to serve as a catalyst for players wishing to elevate their performance as a competitive tennis player. Players who qualify for this program possess a willingness to learn and show commitment to the game. Junior players pursuing their high school tennis team and USTA Section Tournaments will learn the technical, tactical, psychological and physical requirements necessary to successfully compete at these levels. Placement in the program is at the discretion of the Junior Development Committee through ongoing evaluation during each session.
High Performance Program
High Performance is an intense, goal-specific program aimed at serious and committed tennis players. Players who qualify for this program compete in USTA Championship and National level events and are expected to complement the program with other services such as private lessons and/or physical training to create the optimal and most comprehensive performance experience. Regular attendance multiple days per week is required in order to maximize a player’s development and efficiency. Acceptance into the High Performance program will be based upon the player’s attitude and effort, ability to accept coaching, tennis aptitude, tournament play results and time commitment. Placement in the program is at the discretion of the High Performance Committee through ongoing evaluation during each session.
Adult Instructional Program Ages 18 & Up
These programs focus on introducing the basic fundamentals of tennis in a comfortable environment. A strong focus will be placed on fun and the development of relationships amongst students, ensuring continued involvement and connectedness.
