Pilates Classes

Pilates is a mind-body art that simultaneously improves your mental and physical well-being. Using controlled movements in the form of mat exercises or equipment, Pilates does a remarkable job of toning and strengthening your body. At LifeStudio, we offer a variety of Pilates levels, as well as group and private sessions, to best meet your specific needs.

Introduction to Pilates
Designed for first-time Pilates students. This class introduces a series of foundational Reformer, tower and mat Pilates exercises.  Develop basic skills, learn terminology, and how to use the equipment.  Build your core strength, flexibility and physical endurance.

Pilates 1
Designed for students progressing from Intro to Pilates. This course will further enhance your knowledge of the Pilates Reformer, tower and mat by incorporating intermediate add-on exercises that will further enhance your strength, endurance and coordination.

Pilates 2
Designed for students progressing from Pilates 1. Students will continue their work through the beginner and intermediate exercises with additional focus of precision, flow and concentration. You’ll be challenged with a powerful series of exercises that target the body’s “core” muscles of the abdomen, hips, and back.

Pilates 3
Designed for students progressing from Pilates 2. You will maintain foundational skills while incorporating advanced add-on exercises with additional focus of precision, flow and concentration while further increasing your strength, endurance, and flexibility.

Pilates 4
Designed for students progressing from Pilates 3. This class is for students that physically and mentally are ready to take their practice to another level.  You will maintain your foundational skill and fitness level while being challenged with advanced level exercises.

Mat Pilates (All Levels)
It is often stated that the “Mat is the Method.”  Complement and deepen your Pilates practice of the essential mat work in this flowing class that will strengthen, stretch and energize you.

Pilates (Private)
During this one-on-one session with a trainer, you’ll focus on precise exercises and using the equipment (Reformer, tower, magic circles). Individualized instruction is a unique time to deepen the Pilates experience while specifically addressing your specific goals, physical strengths and limitations.

Pilates (Semi-Private)
A personalized session including two or more participants.
