Kids Swimming

Swimming is a skill that children can enjoy for a lifetime. Learning to swim is also an important safety skill. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends starting swim lessons early for a variety of reasons:

  • Drowning is the leading cause of death among children under age 5, but swim lessons can decrease the risk of drowning.
  • Starting swim lessons before a child’s first birthday triggers memories of the womb and encourages faster learning of swimming skills.
  • Children are unlikely to ever learn to swim if they haven’t learned by age 10.

Our interactive instruction approach utilizes warm water, zero-depth entry, in-pool benches, islands and floatation tools that help children transition from instructor support to independent movement. This approach familiarizes children with the water, connects them with their instructors, enables independent skill development and propels them forward. Our swim instructors undergo a stringent certification process that includes 21 hours of instruction, first aid and CPR. We feature the lowest instructor-to-child class sizes to ensure each child receives the attention he or she deserves.

Adult Swimming

Life Time Swim offers a variety of program options for adults, such as Masters Swimming and several options for swimming lessons. Group classes can teach you how to swim or help you improve your technique in a fun group environment with a 1:6 student-to-instructor ration. In semi-private lessons, you will get focused attention thanks to a 1:2 instructor-to-student ratio. Or, if you prefer, you may work one-on-one with an instructor in a private lesson!
